Time’s Up

So, it’s after 8 PM on Wednesday. The deadline has passed, Saddam hasn’t run for his miserable life and we are already engaged with Iraqi forces. Reports have come in that earlier this afternoon Iraqi artillery positions were destroyed, the SBS has engaged enemy forces in Basra and we’re FINALLY accepting Iraqi prisoners/defectors. Now what? No bombs yet but the sandstorms could be causing problems. As far as we know the ground forces haven’t crossed the frontier but it’s a full moon so maybe they don’t want to risk the advance in the good light.

Still, there’s no question we’re going to war. The hour of liberation is at hand. Good luck to our forces. My best wishes to the Iraqi people. Let’s all hope the war happens as quickly and cleanly as possible so we can all get back to the more important business of rebuilding the world and ensuring liberty to all its people.

Keep your heads down folks. It could be a hell of a rollercoaster ride.
