Something big’s going down, at just about the time I figured it would. Airstrikes in Baghdad, bombing along the frontier and reports that the British and Marines are moving out and into Iraq. Whether this is, as has been commented, “the full tilt boogie for freedom and justice” or not it looks like things are definitely moving in the right direction.
Now it remains to be seen if Saddam actually got hit last night and, if so, how long the desert rats will hold out before packing it in. I would assume that the common Iraqi soldier, if he didn’t have a gun to his head, would have rode off into the sunset long ago. Here’s hoping their commanders get the idea and get it quickly before anymore people have to die for Saddam.
