It looks like the air campaign’s been ramped up tonight although not, apparently, to the level of the previously advertised “shock and awe.” And why not? One may well ask. For my part, I’d have let them have it all at once. It’s been over 12 years of this sort of crap and we’re all pretty damn sick and tired of it. So why not immolate the little rats in their holes and be done with it? Well folks, we’re trying to rebuild the Middle East with Iraq as our new bedrock…therefore, we’d like to leave some of the folks around and on our side. I think this war has been prosecuted absolutely brilliantly. First, a surgical strike attempting to wipe out the top honchos. Then, a blitzkreig coupled with steadily increasing levels of airpower. The question is, how long do we give them to surrender entirely before we really let rip? At this point, they’ve had two days. Some of them have to be wondering if we really can do what we’ve advertised. Hence, upping the level of bombardment tonight. I say they’ve got through tomorrow to pack it in or we unleash hell at dusk tomorrow.
