Busy week, gotta get the bar done as well as possible by Friday. I expect it will be pretty well together although it will probably need a few more coats of shellac. So, tomorrow’s Fasnacht Day (Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras for those who didn’t have the great privelege of growing up around German types), then Thursday is Valentine’s Day and then it’s the weekend. Any ideas for an Anti-Valentine’s Day celebration? I hate manufactured holidays although my hate for Valentine’s Day is magnified by the fact that I am, of course, bitter. A Saint gets his head chopped off and we all feel the need to send large heart-shaped boxes of chocolate to people? Interesting.
Eat doughnuts tomorrow and get drunk. Then give up something for Lent.
