The Blizzard of 2003

While looking at ridiculous news broadcasts about yesterday’s snowfall it struck me how pathetic a creature modern man is. There was a time when the biggest worries were finding food and a warm place to spend the night. Now we go into absolute convulsions over where we’re to dispose of a mere two feet of snow.

How lame is that?

Yep, it’s pretty clear mankind hasn’t got the stones to handle any sort of setback or hardship. Ho for the days when blizzards were handled with preparation and hard work. I’ll take a one way trip to the days when difficulties were overcome with perserverence and an iron will.

You want to know why we can’t/won’t go to war even when it is so patently required? We go to pieces at several inches of snow! How the hell can we be expected to handle defending our fellow men at the potential cost of our lives?
