I’d like to take this time to apologize to everyone for the woeful behaviour of the Catholic Church in the past several months. Not satisified with the catastrophic scandals wracking the American Church now they’ve gone and sacrificed their backbone and any claim to moral superiority by sounding like a bunch of stupid Frenchmen. I suppose, in a way, one could attempt to understand their position – drawn from a supposed respect for life. What gets my goat is that in their insistence on “preserving life” they completely ignore the fact of the thousands of Iraqi citizens tortured, killed and otherwise desperately incovenienced by the current regime. So much for respecting life, why not just come out and say it? You respect order. That’s all. Nothing terribly wrong with that but it does leave one’s moral worth wanting from time to time.
Nope, we’ll take the risk to deliver liberty to our LBBs and as a delightful little side-benefit ensure peace and security to ourselves.
