<description>Looking back at the list now, I wonder myself how I ended up with the list I did. I still maintain Gran Torino was the best movie I saw in 2009 although I&#039;m a little bit surprised I put Boondock Saints II so close to the top of the list.

Maybe it was a full moon or something.

Glad to hear you&#039;re still alive as well. Like the hermit on the mountaintop coming down to town to spread a few pearls of wisdom.

<description>Your rating system continues to vex me. Especially 1 and 3. Torino was good for a laugh at the good ole fashioned racism (not unlike that my grandfather espoused every time he saw a non-WASP on television) but the acting was sub high school play. I couldn t get past that. And Saints? Really? It was basically Troy Duffy patting himself on the back for two hours. I mean, excepting the bull dyke he referenced every single element from the first movie without really adding a thing with the second movie. And the Mexican? Wow.

Anyway. Glad to hear you re still kicking. Maybe I ll overcome my long self-applied internet banishment to post a year in movies review as well.
